Living In A Country Where You Have To Speak A Foreign Language Can Cause Serious Social Problems, As Well As Practical Problems. To What Extent Do You Agree Or Disagree With This Statement?

I've living in Korea for nearly 3 years and I will tell you all of my experience while I live here. As people known, Korea is not use English as their main language, so I have to learn Korea for 1 year, everything seem to be difficult for me because I have no idea about Korean. So personally, I complete agree with this idea.

The first reason for argree with this idea relates to language barries when study abroad. For example, I studied English from elementary to high school, and never thought about learning new language like Korean or Chinese. When I started study abroad in Korea, the first 6 months was very hard despite I have learn it in a year before go there. Accent, vocabulary, grammar is different from what I had learn at school. Like English, they also have slang and the others ways to talk in their language in different region. Busan and Seoul is a simple example, when I heard some things from Busan people, it take a while for me to understand what they said.

There are also have many problems that forgeiner might make mistake if they totally misunderstand Korean. When it comes to misunderstanding foreign language, it's normally with non-native speaker but sometimes it can be a problem. If working in Korean company, foreigner have to comprehend, if not, get the wrong point of job can bring one's eggs to a bad market.

In conclusion, althought some people think that practice will help people more understand language but it always have new words every day, therefore misunderstanding are unavoidable.
