Live or wear

My grandfather's a big man with a meaty nose and greased-back salt-and-pepper hair. He lives in house slippers and a sports coat, and I've never seen a whisker on him. They grow, but he shaves them off like three times a day. It's a real recreational activity for him.

I feel here lives shall be wears?

I see. can it also be used in other cases? eg.

she always watches dramas: She lives in dramas.

She always goes shopping: She lives in shopping.

She always chews gum: She live in gum.

Not quite; those are not apparel. These are possible and similar in intent:

He always watches dramas: She lives for dramas.

She always goes shopping: She lives for shopping.

She always chews gum: She lives for gum.

I see. different prep, in for apparel and for for intention, etc.

Thank you very much!
