Live in

I would never actually propose this, I guess. My Supreme Court would have a conniption fit: you can't deny citizenship to 200,000 Israelis who happen to be Arabs. The Israeli Arabs would have a conniption fit too. They don't want to be Palestinians. They like it in Israel. Talk about inconvenient truths! I'd love to shove that in the face of all those Euro do-gooders. You want me to negotiate a Palestinian state that Arabs don't even want to live in? How broad-minded of you. How happy are your Arabs, by the way? Yes, I am tempted. It polls well. It would help me with Lieberman's wing nuts.

...............................................................................

You live in Israel.

Where do you live?

Where do you live in? [ We don't say this?]

Now look at the above passage.

Why should it be ... want to live in ?

It should be ... want to live.

What is conniption fit?

No, we don't say "Where do you live in?" The idea of "in" is included in the word "where".

Where do you live? = In what place do you live?

You live in a nation, a country, a state. So you can say, "What country do you live

It is a tough answer. I have to read again to understand your point.

You want me to negotiate a Palestinian state that Arabs don't even want to live in?

I would rewrite it as follows:

You want me to negotiate a Palestinian state where Arabs don't even want to live?

Both sentences are correct, and you don't have to rewrite the first one. They both say the same thing.
