Little text about a thesis - could anybody help me?

The Carnation Revolution, occurred in April 25th 1974, was a democratic movement that overthrown, in only one day, António de Oliveira Salazar regime, known as ‘New State’, in Portugal, and that was already longing 41 years (the longest authoritarian regime in Occidental Europe). With the effective support of the Portuguese population, that walked through Lisbon streets carrying red carnation flowers, the initiative had the non-violence as main point.



The Brazilian military dictatorship – which begun through a coup in 1964, ended up just in 1985, after fights and claims from many political and civil sectors. Both had periods in common, but only ten years past the end of the dictatorship in Lusitanian lands, Brazilian people was back to democracy.



During all those years, the media was one of the principal protagonist, thus for censorships, hidden critics, persecution of journalists and the link between some communication companies and the government.



Not only for the historical roots, but also for the diplomatic affairs, Brazil and Portugal has always been friend nations, with strong trade relations. For this reason, political subjects involving these States would have obvious space in both Brazilian and Portuguese Medias.



The objective of this thesis is comprehending how the Brazilian journalism notified facts referred to the Carnation Revolution, during Ernesto Geisel government and still under the military censorship.



Through lectures, old newspaper article reading, specialized books and interviews, the research intends to use terms and concepts of the French School of the Discourse Analysis to analyze the influence of the censorship and the editorial lines of the news to bring to publish the ‘April 25th’. The Brazilian newspapers __ and __ reflect their importance and credibility during the 70th.
