Litterally or pinch of salt

What do you think of this sentence?

1 I do not perceive what I see in a movie too literally though : it's only a movie.
2 I'd take newspapers preliminary reports with a grain of salt until proof is ascertained.

I do not take what I see in a movie too literally . "perceive" doesn't fit this context. There's no need to add that it's only a movie, you've already said it's a movie.

I do not take what I see in a movie too literally.
"perceive" doesn't fit this context. There's no need to add that it's only a movie, you've already said it's a movie. You could say something like this: "It's only a movie, don't take it too literally."
