the most famous 10 shakespere's plays are hamlet, romeo and juliet, henry v, midsummer nights dream, macbeth, richard III, julius caesar, twelgth night or what you will, the taming of the shrew and othello-the moor of venice.the merchant of venice is also a nice one.

The most famous are Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and Othello. That is, they are the Shakespeare plays most often assigned in school and depicted on film. However, if you're asking this in order to pick a first Shakespeare play to read, then I would strongly advise against these four. These are all tragedies and are gloomy reading, especially Hamlet. I would instead recommend his comedies
