Hi everyone! I'd like to show the (in)famous JibJab "This land" parody to my students and would like to be prepared in case of questions. I wonder whether there's a literal meaning of "nut job". Of course it means something like "stupid person", but is there any connotation to it? Would native speakers use it only in certain contexts? Was it used in a certain context during the current campaign? Always thankful for any help, Andreas.

from my message of July 20: I watched it three times in a row, so I had a chance to hear a discrepancy in prosody: Bush: "You're a liberal sissy" Kerry: "You're a right wing nut job" The emphasis and pronounciation of "nut" made me think
