Lists + And

Good morning. I am creating a list and have a question. Is the 'and' before the final element of the list a compulsory item?

For example:

Things That I Like
(1) X, (2) Y, (3) Z, (4) W, (5) A, and (6) B.

Things That I Hate
(1) Q, (2) E, (3) T, (4) Y, (5) U, and (6) I.

Or can I write it without the 'and'?

Example:

Things That I Like
(1) X, (2) Y, (3) Z, (4) W, (5) A, (6) B.

Thank you!!!

Even if the list has more than 20 items?

I like the Japanese curry rice, though do not know to what degree it may be considered junk food.
