LISTENING SKILLS

I have the same problem, but Ido my effort to focus on what they are saying to understand.

Is it so important to note? I believe you should just listen and try to understand as much as possible without noting anything down because writing can distract you.

To make notes of precisely everything the reporter says is very difficult and also quite unnecessary. If you want to make notes you should make sure to write down only crucial pieces of information. I CAN'T note down as fast as the reporter speaks,so I always lose lots of information. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You should record it and play it over and over until you understand it well enough to transcribe it, if transcribing it is what you want.
