Listen

Hi,

Anyway I bought the CD out of curiosity and brought it home for a listen.

If listen is a noun, is it used properly in this sentence?

Listen is a verb - " to listen ". However, in English (and other languages) it is possible to use verbs as nouns (it is called nominalization). org/wiki/Nominalization The sentence can be written to remove nominalization: Anyway , I bought the CD out of curiosity and brought it home to listen to it.
