Would you agree with this N-gram? I often see the word enunciate in newspapers and magazines.

I'd have expected 'list' to be more common. Yes, I read the word 'enunciate' more than I hear it. I hope that you do not think the meanings of these two words are very similar!

Given the unexpected pairing with "list", I wonder whether it is possible that you are thinking of "enumerate"?

Given that these two words have nothing to do with each other, you may as well have compared "dutiful" with "prevaricate", or any two words chosen at random.
