Lisiening skill

If I listen to audible books,( or audiobooks with another player), but ussually make the speed of speach lower than " normal", is this type of practice still good for my listening skill?

If I listen to audible books, ( or audiobooks with another player), but usually play them back at a speed slower than "normal", is this type of practice still will it help improve good for my listening skills? The pitch will go from soprano to alto, or tenor to baritone to bass, but as long as you stay within a normal vocal range, it will be fine.
