Liquidate the company's position

The investment team leader has tentatively decided to liquidate the company's position in Australian blue chips unless there is a turnaround in the market within 24 hours.

Hi,

Is it right to interpret the bolded part in the above as "sell the company's shares in Australian best companies?" Thanks.
