Can anyone explain the meaning of 'lip in' in the following sentence?

"You can lip in a note reminding her to do her homework."

I'm guessing that it's a typo for "slip in a note." (meaning "put in") For instance, "When you make a lunch for your child to take to school, you can slip in a note saying "Have a great day!"
