Vocabulary

lino

Hello,

Most online dictionary (from the OneLook suite) say "lino" is British English.

I am a little confused... Are the words "lino" and "linoleum" common in AE?

If there are not, what terms do AE speakers use for "lino"/"linoleum"?

I occasionally use 'lino' as a short form of 'linoleum', but the product is seldom seen nowadays, so both words are dropping out of use.

"Linoleum" is certainly used in the US, but I've never heard "lino."
