linking

I am a non-native speaker.
I have been studying english more than 1years siriously(before I just studied in a junior/senior high school and a university as just a normal student just doing what my teacher gave to me as homework.after that somehow I got and have been very interested in this language.)currently I study english with speaking sentences in english books.

on studying with speaking,I've learn "linking" and " reduction" of the words, which are skills to speak fluently.(I've learned so.)but some are difficult for me and while speaking linking words ,without any chance to breath,so cant keep speaking.some sentences have many chances of linking so that I think how i can speak with linking??.

then I have a question.how often do native speaker link words.they do as much chansces as possible?or they dont do sometimes?
if do all the chances, how do u keep ur breath to make urself possible to keep speaking?

or they dont do sometimes? It is an effect of the natural flow of words (both running on and pausing). It is not something we are aware of; it just happens as we become fluent.

  • Just as you do in your own language, whatever it is.

Linking occurs naturally. It is not something you need to learn consciously. It occurs as a result of moving your tongue and lips from one position to the next. Breathe naturally just as you would when you are speaking your own language.

Reading sentences is a good strategy to help you learn. In my experience, it is a good idea to also hear native speakers say these same sentences.
