Linguistics Essay

I'm in a linguistics class and I need to write a min 6 page essay. I'm having a hard time coming up with a topic to write on. It has to deal with my major which is education. I have thought about doing something with sign language but I have noooo clue what to write. It is due on the 28th so I have to get a move on.

Any suggestions on a topic????
