Hello Agarista,
I think a question form must start from a verb, but you put subject in your post. It is wrong.
Correct form is - Do you want to go for linguistics? / Do you want to opt for linguistics?

I am aware of that. I was just quoting the original poster, hence the quotation marks.

Ok, then quote properly. This is EnglishForward. There should not be a mistake from the responder.
Thanks,

Yes, I thank you is enough, however, I wanted to know if I have used the adverb correctly. Anyway, I have to go now, because I am giving a class in 15 minutes. (not to worry, it is not English

AgaristaHow would it sound better (correct) : I thank you kindly or I kindly thank you ?
Neither. That "kindly" doesn't belong there at all. When you want to be polite, you make the other person the kind one, not yourself. "If you would kindly step this way." "Would you be so kind as to remove your stiletto from my back?"

Enoon, thank you very much. This is all I wanted to know. (well, not all, but concerning my previous sentence).

"Would you be so kind as to remove your stiletto from my back?"
I am trying to imagine a scenario of that particular example.
