Linguistic Vocabulary

I have a quiestion regatrding the right word when we try to describe things that occur in language (in grammatical terms) - is it ok to say "language phenomenon/a" or is there a better word than phenomenon to describe it?

Thank you very much for your answer.Emotion: smile
