Linger

Hi teachers,

Linger means to stay somewhere a little longer. Is it okay to add "a little longer" after linger, or should I just say "We lingered there"? And could you check the rest of the sentence for grammar errors. Thank you.

Since she didn’t want to leave the spider, we stayed there a little longer/ we lingered there a little longer. We watched the talented creature constantly moving back and forth on the web she was busy spinning ,and were fascinated by her skill of weaving the delicate web like a piece of embroidery.

fate22 Is it okay to add "a little longer" after linger, or should I just say "We lingered there"? Yes, that does not offend, but it is redundant. I would also back off on the modifiers: Since she didn’t want to leave the spider, we lingered there.
