Lines through 7 and Z?

When publishing in Australia, do I put a line through 7 and z?

Top answer

I really don't know anything specific about Australia here. But some people do put a line through the middle of 7: The line through the middle is useful to clearly differentiate the character from the number one , as these can appear similar when written in certain styles of handwriting. org/wiki/7_(number ) Like this: But, I really don't know about Z.

because Culley would smack you with his smart board 9000 times if you don't put your line through the Z

The z has a line through it for the same reason a 7 does, except it’s to differentiate between a 2 and z in certain writing styles
