"lines of aspiration"?

What exactly does the phrase mean? Is it something like 'a course or direction of one's expectation'? Can you give me some synonyms?

"lines of aspiration" as in...

It doesn't mean either of those things literally. It means both of those, and 'path', and 'trajectory', and 'kind', and 'type', and probably a few other things all in one.

I asked because it was hard to think of the right, simple Korean translation for that part in the first place. I get what it intends to mean, but when in Korean, all sounds awkward and redundant.

Anyway, thanks a lot. I hope I can think of some brilliant Korean words for that, hopefully today!

Actually, the sentence I gave above is not the one I'm translating now. I wrote it just as an example whcih contains the phrase 'lines of aspiration'.

This is what I'm translating.
