Line of thought?

Hi! everyone.
My line of thought would stop them being effective on other issues after whaling.
............This line of thought prompted me to leave the green room with a parting remark
Does "line of thought" mean "perception" in the above sentences?
Thanks!

Thanks! Clive.
Could you give me an example scenario in which the general use of "line of thought" is shown?

You typically need a scenario in which different ways of thinking about something are being considered.
eg Most people think diseases are spread by germs, but my line of thought is that they are caused by eating too many bananas.
