Overall, It is evident that the number of American and Canadian using the Internet was by far the most, with internet users in Mexico, a distant third, over the entire time shown.
In 1999, the figures for internet users in USA, Canada and Mexico stood at 20%, 10% and 5% respectively. Moreover, the year 2002 marked the point at which the number of internet users in Canada overtook the one in USA, with figures dramatically increasing to nearly 60% in 2003, while a slight climb can be seen in the portion of internet users in Mexico over the same time.
There was a moderade rise of 25% in the rate of people using the Internet in Mexico in 2005, whearas the patterns of those in USA and Canada met each other, with a share of 70%. However, after 2006, the rate of people using the Internet in Canada, once more, overtook the one in USA, with figures remaining above the rest to reach 95% in 2009.
