The line graph illustrates the figure for commutes using three main railways system( measured by millions people) namely National Rail Network(NRN),London
Underground(LU) andLight Rail and Metro systems(LR&MS) in Great Britain from 1950 to 2004/5
Overall 3 railway systems went through a significant rise its users. It 's also clear that the number of users of NRN is was highest, that of LR&MS stayed the lowest.
In 1950, the number of goers of NRN increased steadily and peaked at 1100(1959) then witnessed a significant decrease in 1963. Besides, that of LU saw a decrease at the begining of this period.
LR&MS started in 1963 and people perhaps favoured NRN and LU than it. In the next 30 years, the figure for travellers of LU and NRN underwent a slight decrease from approximatedly 900 and 700 to around 680 and 500 respectively whereas that of LR & MS increased considerably at 100.
In the remaining years of this period, there was a gradual increase in the figure of 3 railway systems. NRN & LU witnessed an upward trend over 100. Simlarly, LR &MS rised continuosly and ended the period at 230 in 2004/5.
