Line

Hi,

A company is called Magazineline. Under its logo, there's a line of text: Your Direct Line to Subscription Savings

1. Does 'line' in bold mean 'connection'.

2. Does 'line' in 'Magazineline' also mean 'connection'? Or at least that's how this compay is so called?

Thanks,

1. Yes. "line" in bold means "connection", "path", "route", "access".
2. Yes. The same meaning applies in the made-up title. The company gives you access (a path, a connection) to ways of saving on your magazine subscriptions -- at least that's what I presume from what you've said about it so far!
