Limited?

Is there a difference between Ltd companies (lower case) and LTD companies (upper case) and indeed the difference between writing out Limited/LIMITED in full?

Where is the company incorporated? In the US we have a relatively new type, called LLC, or Limited Liability Company. I think companies can print their names as they choose.

In the US we have a relatively new type, called LLC, or Limited Liability Company.

I think companies can print their names as they choose. If they use all caps, then LTD. is good. Otherwise Ltd. is standard.

I believe that where it's a legal issue, the local jurisdiction has the say.
