Likes and dislikes+ ing

The ing is used after these verbs to express like and dislike in general.

And usually most vern patterns is invariable with all tenses in can be used in.

My question is when I want to use those verbs above in the past how does that works? (It is not general, but an specific situation) can I still use ing or just change to to infinitive because it's specific.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!
