Like/liked

When I went into the store I didn't see anything that I like/liked.

Like or liked?

Hi, Usually, use 'liked'. 'Like' suggests you are thinking about the things that you like at the time of speaking, and that you went to the store recently, eg two days ago instead of two years ago. Cliveve

But if I just went to the store recently, I could use liked as well right?

And even if I say liked, does it still mean that I do like the item ?

Hi,

But if I just went to the store recently, I could use liked as well right? Yes

And even if I say liked, does it still mean that I do like the item ? 'Liked' tells us nothing explicitly about what you like right now. But if you went to the store 5 minutes ago, we can guess.
