Like these/this

Should it be times moments 'these' or 'this'. Ex: It's moments like ____ that makes me appreciate him more.

It really depends on what your reference is: is the reference one moment or more than one? Google: these(488,000); this (689,000) I have a feeling that 'these' is more common because it sounds better to have two plural words in close context.

Both are possible, as Philip suggests, but the verb should be "make."
