I have no idea what this sentence could mean.

Antother way of putting it is "he finds it exciting"

There are many definitions for power, but I think this one http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=62015&dict=CALD fits.

What does the "power" mean here?
My reading of the original sentence is that "he" likes being powerful - having control of others - and that is what gives him his kicks.
