This is difficult as it could be either a (talking about a film produced in the past) or d (talking about a new film). b and c are not correct options.

It did this in a certain way.
The way that it did this was not similar to the way that any other film which was made ____ it ever did.

It captured the imagination in a way that was not similar to the way that any other film ____ it captured the imagination.

I'd say "before".
I think there's a case to be made for "since", as Nona suggests, but personally I feel that "since it" is a somewhat strange prepositional phrase. I'd use "since" without the "it".

I like the way you talk about like no film before. I'll explain it by this imagination and this poem here in after:

I'll guess you and I have passed six years together. you used to ask me to go to the theatre so you didn't lose your way durimg the night. You still remember the way: Turn on the right. Why don't you afraid our brother will spank us as a punishment. May be right, may be wrong. It's only two sides of life. I'd like you to reread the poem:
