Hello.
Can you tell me the differences that are between "like" and "as if"?
I know only that after "like" we use noun and after "as if" subject + be.
But I'm sure that there are many more differences.
For example I was wondering why in this sentence we use "like" instead of "as if".
She loves cars like I do.
How do the present simple tense and the past simple tense change the meaning of these two sentences?
1) She behaves as if she was crazy.
2) She behaves as if she is crazy.
Thanks in advance.
