Grammar

Like anything vs as anything

Like anything in life, things get easier with experience.
The above is a made up sentence.
Is it natural and grammatically correct?

Would the sentence be correct if we replace "Like anything" with "as anything"?

I always get confused by "as and like"

Jigneshbharati I always get confused by "as and like" Use "like" when it literally makes sense, as it does in your example, or would if the sentence itself made sense. There is no difference between anything and things. " People tend to hypercorrect and always use "as" to avoid getting their knuckles rapped with Sister Ernest Borgnine's ruler.

Use "like" when it literally makes sense, as it does in your example, or would if the sentence itself made sense. There is no difference between anything and things. Maybe "Like anything in life, marriage gets easier with experience."
