Hi teachers! I am wondering whether using like in subjunctive mood is acceptable or not.

Can anyone help me?

Treat you aunt like she were your mother.

anonymous Treat you r aunt like she were your mother. This is an awkward mixture of formal "were" and informal "like". If you want to use formal "were", say it like this instead: Treat your aunt as if she were your mother.
