Actually I have to reduce the number of characters. Isn't there a one-word-substitution or something like that for it?

enjoy is one word.

There is no word in English that is shorter than "like" and has the same meaning.

CJ,
What I mean is I'm looking for a one-word-substitution for the phrase "like being in the presence of", or a shorter form of writing the sentence.

I like being in the company of people who have achieved greatness.

All of the following are shorter and quite similar in meaning:

I enjoy associating with successful people.
I like associating with successful people.
I like associating with great people.
I like being around successful people.
I like being around great people.
