Sir,

I was asked to answer of following question.

1.Name the objects used for lighting fire.

I wrote "matchsticks','lighter".

2.Name the objects used for burning fire.

I wrote "wood" ,"grass","natural gas","kerosene" etc.

Are my answers correct?

I am here confused that what is difference in

"lighting fire" and "burning fire"

Hi Hanuman I think your answers are correct. "Light" means here "set burning". To burn something you have to light it at first.

I think your answers are correct. "Light" means here "set burning". To burn something you have to light it at first. Light a candle, light a torch, light a lamp, etc.
