Hi,Can anyone help me with this word "light-scoring"? If a ball player is described as "light-scoring", what does it mean? What's its synonym, if any. Thanks.

My little brother is American basketball player from school and he told me that Light-Scoring means any team that scores the least amount of points in the game.The synonym for light scoring is hard I think.

Here is an example in ice hockey:
Joel Ward is a light-scoring winger for the Capitals, who was in the right place and the right time to put home the overtime series-winner to send Washington past Boston in game 7.

Sometimes in a sport, there are positions where the offensive players play. These players have the most talent for scoring points. The particular sport does not matter. A forward in basketball, a winger in hockey, the front row attackers in volleyball.

A light-scoring player is a player assigned to one of these positions, but does not perform well compared to the other teams' players in the same position.

A light-scoring team is a team that has a below-average score in their games. Their offense does not score lots of points, but if they have a great defense, they can win lots of games.

The most common word is "low-scoring" not "light-scoring."
