Light off temperature
Hello everybody!
Please, could somebody tell me if, in the following context, the term "Light-off" could be replaced with something like "Light-up" or a similar one? I mean, as it seems to me that here it basically means that the equipment just switches ON, or better, the temperature just raises, I would expect something rather different than that "OFF" (for example: "Light ON", "Light UP"... and so on).

At least once during each burning cycle, the temperature within the stove should be raised high enough to cause the catalyst to become active. This is known as it's "Light-off" temperature.

In this context "light-off" is being used as a specific, technical term. If you are in charge of coming up with the term in the first instance (if this is the first translation of the manual into English, for example) then something better is possible but if this is a widely used and understood term then changing it will only cause confusion. It's far more important to be consistent than to have the best possible terminology, especially when an existing term is in use and is widely understood.
