Lift your mood

Hi

I would like to know which verb (with regard to mood) we should use to the person who is in a terrible/filthy/wretched mood. Do the yellow qualify?

OK, now improve your mood.

OK, now lift your mood.

Also, what is the opposite? Spoil?

Is it OK?

I don't know what spoiled/spoilt his mood suddenly.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Mr. T:Improve, elevate, and brighten are used as a verbs when improving one's attitude towards the world.

The imperative (without the word mood) is often expressed: "Lighten up!"

For the opposite, spoil is OK, but more common is "put him in a bad mood"
