Our campus life or our campus lives?

Which one is correct?

I prefer the singular ( campus life collocates strongly), but I suppose that it depends on context-- are you speaking of the similar campus life that we all share, or are you speaking of the individual ones? Each of our campus lives were tragically shattered in different ways by the bombing. Our campus life was one big party .
