Please check out the following sentences. Are they acceptable?

(1) The pop music singer, with his fifty years life long, is one of the most famous entertainers.

(2) Soon after, Michael’s talent leads to make him become the lead singer of the band.

I'm not very good in English, but the first sentence sounds weird. As for the second sentence, I do have some questions. What is the coma after 'soon after' for?

As for the second sentence, I do have some questions. What is the coma after 'soon after' for? I think this sentence sounds better: "Soon, Michael's talent makes him the lead singer of the band."
