Life is too short to waste time on little things.

This place is too bad to hang out with my friends.

I have learned that the sentence above is grammatically wrong and I am still confused with the answer because this sentence Life is too short to waste time on little things is commonly used and then should it be Life is too short to waste on little things without an object?

What do you native English speakers think?

Thank you so much as usual in advance.

Hans51 Life is too short to waste time on little things This is pretty idiomatic, I'd say. Also, it makes grammatical sense. I may be stretching things here, but you can equate "time" with "life".

Thank you so much and I have one more question.

I have learned that this sentence The school is too far to walk to from here is correct and there must be a space for the subject the school in to infinitive phrase so 'to walk to it [the school] from here' is wrong and then I think that 'Life is too short to waste on little things' is better or correct without it [life]

The school is too far to walk to from here. This is fine.

Life is too short to waste on little things. Incorrect.

To waste what? To waste life/it/time. So:
Life it too short to waste it on little thi

XerxesThe school is too far to walk to from here. This is fine
Thank you and then to where? To the school / it

The school is too far to walk to the school [it] from here.

Is the sentence above wrong? I think that both are the same when it comes to needing objects of to and waste.

What do you think?

Thank you so much but I am still confused with your answer because 'acceptable' means the other might not be wrong, right?

I have learned that there must be a space for the subject in to infinitive phrases like

This book is hard to read. The school is too far to walk to from it.

And then if there is an object after waste, the sentence should be wrong
