life and lifestyle

The poeple who live in Earthships seem to be very happy with their life/lifestyle.

Hi,

Life and lifestyle sound equally good in the above to me, but I suspect that there are subtle differences between them, right? Thanks.

I would suggest that 'with their life' is redundant: The people who live in Earthships seem to be very happy . The people who live in Earthships seem to be very happy with their lifestyle. This may suggest a difference to you.

Yes-- in most cases 'with their life' would be redundant. Another frequent redundancy I meet is 'people in the world'-- where else could they be?
