Level head about things, get it away

We left far too many runs for the guys coming in, 75 in the last 5 is very hard to get. Raina played a great knock, he made us pay after we let him off the hook, dismissing him off a no-ball. 186 was always going to be a daunting task on a huge outfield like this, so we have a lot of work to do, we were just simply not good enough. We got a lot of ideas, hopefully we can keep the graph going up, we need to keep a level head about things and get ready for the next game.

There were some good things and bad things. Jacques and I left too much to do for the middle order. We gave away too many with the bowling in the end. Suresh Raina played well. Jacques and myself couldn't get it away there. We left with too much to do in the latter half. We have some hard work and thinking to do.

Please explain to me the emboldened parts.

Though I guess "get it away" means "get the ball deposited to the crowd(over the boundary".
