Letters involving special requests

I need to write a letter. It's like this: the club i am representing would like to request that more points be awarded for a performance... i have no idea how to go about it.
This is all i've managed so far:

Re: Request for more performance points

Regarding the allocation of performance pts for the World Debate display by the NTU wushu club, we would like to request for more performance points. It may be noted that the World Debate was a big event, involving representatives from over 40 countries. The guest of honour at the event was Professor Su Guanning. Training was increased in an effort to ensure that standards were worthy for an event such as this. Thus this club believes that it should be awarded four points instead of the standard two.
