Letter Writing

Letter Writing test

Hi there!

My name is Tolik Birliba, and I am an English Teacher Trainee from Holland. I am currently finishing my first year at the Fontys university in Sittard.

Since I am almost done with school, I want to make sure that I can get all the credits that I can get this year. That means that I have a lot of studying and practising to do the next few days. My problem is, is that I can’t find a sufficient way to practise my letter writing!

I know, some people would say: “Pay more attention in class.”, but the problem is that I was not able to visit the classes that dealt with letter writing. That letter and this (and another) forum post, are the only things in the way of my four credits, which are needed very badly!

My question therefore is: how can I practise my letter writing skills in a sufficient (and fast, if possible) way? The structure in the letter should not be the problem: I dealt with those subjects in high-school, where I received good grades for my letters. But I am just nervous for this exam, there is a lot of stuff depending on it. If I will not receive enough credits, it will mean that I will have to quit school, which is a big issue for me: being an English teacher is all that I want: I have no clue what I should do if I would fail this course. That is why I really need to make it this year!

Well, I hope that some of you will have some interesting and useful tips for me, that would be really great! Just let me know if you have an idea, tip, or if you know some useful websites!

Thanks,

Tolik

Chill Tolik - you'll probably do just fine. From what you've just written I'd say you're well on your way to passing your letter writing exam. Now, if you would like to practice letter writing, you can email me (it's on my profile) and we can work that way or you could continue to write here in the forum.
