You recently bought an item of clothing from a shop. You discovered that it had a fault and returned it to the shop for replacement or refund. However, the assistant told you that this was against the store's policy.
Write a letter to the store manager, explaining the problems you have had. Ask for a refund or exchange on the item.
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Peter Williams and I had bought a shirt from your store on last Friday. I am writing this letter to complain about the shirt which had a defect, and when I asked your representative to replace it, he refused to do so as it was against the policy of your store.
When I bought this shirt, your sales person said that it was the latest piece available which has not been tried by anyone. However, after returning home, I discovered that the button of the collar was missing, and the right sleeve was not properly stitched. When asked to replace it with a new piece, he said that it is not the policy to replace or refund once purchased.
You are requested to immediately refund my money as I do not need this shirt anymore. Although it is the first time I had purchased any item from your store, It was the worst experience I had ever in my life.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
Peter Williams
