Please help me for a letter, to my principal asking her to grant me permission to come five days late after my winter vacation as i have to attend a wedding in my home.

i would like to request an early vacation,, my letter is something like this....

I would like to request permission to take my vacation leave from __ to _____, my family will have a small gathering because my brother and his family from ___ will visit us and it will take years to have a vacation again.
