Letter to the university

Hi,
would anyone have experience with applying for the MSc course without BSc degree? Acceptance is based on the professional experience in the field, the university asks for letter where the applicant should introduce themselves and describes/explains reasons behind the decision/choice. Does anyone have an experience with this? How the letter should be structured? What it should contain?
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
